Customers have been receiving fraudulent phone calls from Comcast. Be aware and vigilant! The call may go something like this:
A person calls the customer saying that they are Comcast and that there is a problem with the modem and that they need to use Team Viewer to access the computer. Once they have gained access, they try to take credit card information and charge $400.00 to fix it. Comcast does not call you about potential issues or remote onto your computer.
Do not allow anyone remote access to your computer. Hang up immediately and do not give the caller any information. You can always call Comcast back directly and make them aware of the fraudulent activity.
